Do I have to buy soccer cleats?

Absolutely yes! It is required in our insurance policy that each player wear proper equipment.

I've never played soccer before, can I still play?

We are the league for you! Our league has many, many women who have never played or haven't played since grade school P.E. class. Our league is about playing soccer and also about teaching women to play soccer. Come on, you know you wanna give it a try!

I want to play but only if I can be on the same team as my friend...is that okay?

Yes, we put friends, groups and entire teams together, you just have to follow the online registration guidelines for doing that.

Can I pick my jersey number?

No, unfortunately, we cannot allow players to pick numbers.

What day of the week do you play?

In Byron, all games are played on Sunday afternoons.

What is the time commitment?

Games are one hour long. Weekly practices are totally optional.

How long does the season last?

The season begins in early May and runs into mid-September. We don't play on summer holiday weekends (Canada Day, Civic Holiday or Labour Day).

If I want to quit, can I get a refund?

This is our refund policy: If a player decides to remove herself from the league BEFORE the first game of the season, then she can have a refund of the fees LESS a $15.00 administration fee. Once the season has begun, there are NO refunds. Even if you're pregnant, injured, moving, tired, busy or whatever! :)

What is the age limit?

You must be 21 years old as of January 1st. There is no upper age limit.

What is the cost for the 2011 season?

The cost for the 2011 season is $106 plus HST = $119.78. This includes your jersey.

How many players are on each team?

We try to put 24 ladies on each team. With a larger roster, the pressure to attend each game is relieved. We are all very busy people and we don't expect you to make every game, and that's OK! Once July hits, and thus peak vacation time, you will understand!
